I let an opportunity pass me by the other day I let fear take root and ultimately get in the way Forgetting that the Creator has already made me ready Preparing me for days like these so I’ll be calm and steady But when the time came to confirm him at his word I lost out on an opportunity for my voice to be heard Failing to remind myself that he gave me this gift That it’s not about me but the Souls he wants me to lift He once told me that it’s not about who or what I am But to represent for him because he is the Lamb He wanted me to look past all my own faults And listen carefully to the words that he’s taught Be mindful that he chose me because I seek after his heart And seeing myself as he does is a good place to start
