I see with my heart how good you are to me
How you’ve strategically placed my footsteps right where they need to be
I can feel the gentle pull of the direction I am to go
And how you’ve lifted me up from that place below
I thank you for giving me those mighty wings of support
And how the mission that is me you never seem to abort
Seeing past myself to the faces that come from me
I see their futures as they each shine brightly
Never having to reach farther than arms length
You’ve carried me for them as my spiritual strength
You’ve allowed me grace and room to grow
As glimpses of my eventuality begin to show
Access to another level has been officially granted
Like seeds sown in the perfect season I have been willfully planted
From the Tree of Life I have been groomed
With each day’s passing I am visibly pruned
I shed the leaves of yesterday’s failed past
Not giving into the failures that I did last
You’ve taught me how to look to only you
And how to look beyond what I sometimes fail to do
And how to look beyond what I sometimes fail to do
To take each day as a new beginning
And to know that ultimately I am winning
