It’ll seem to come and ravage
Appearing to overtake you like a savage
But opposition is just trying to conspire
To keep you from what you aspire
Just think of opposition as a diversion
Spitefully trying its hand at coercion
Provoking you into a land of dismay
Content to ruin the hand that you play
But there is strength throughout your struggle
Your fight opposition can’t smuggle
When you’re on a path toward new directions
Changing yourself and making some corrections
Here comes opposition to see if you’ll fight
To see if you’ll stand up and still do what’s right
Opposition is an opportunity for you to transcend
Because opposition will teach you to extend
Beyond any level that you could see
It is the distance between struggle and victory
Opposition is not more than pen to paper
No more than a rouse or a caper
Opposition can’t take you because you’ve been appointed
Divinely chosen and anointed
In struggle you must be willing to fight
You must be determined to use all of your might
Especially when you’re trying to do what’s right!
