Time Sensitive Goals, Dreams, and Purpose

time-sensitive

adj
1. (Chemistry) physically changing as time passes
2. only relevant or applicable for a short period of time

My belief is that my purpose is time sensitive such as everyone’s is. All of us only get a certain amount of time on the earth to do what it is that we have been sent here to do. For me, about 20 years ago I had the opportunity to explore, live life from a different perspective, gain insight & knowledge, suffer, and even sacrifice. That period is now over and the time now is to “Get to WORK”. From a Divine mindset the purpose in which we have been given has always been sensitive to time, but the time prior to “Go time” is known as a time of spiritual, physical, and mental maturation and preparation. A time to gain knowledge of the purpose and what strengths and tools we have been given in order to manifest that purpose. Some of us have been allotted more time to be still and listen as others have been appointed less. That time frame is based upon assignment and individual capacity. 20 years seems like a long time but in that time wisdom was being stored from all aspects as well as time given in to presupposed distractions, an unwillingness to learn from certain lessons, and a repeat of circumstances because of all of it. At this stage of life I understand the need to be severely focused, to keep moving, and to not hold on to the fear of what others think. Even in the event of mistakes, the intent is to learn from them, use them as necessary, and continue to grow.

The other day I watched the #HBO series “The Defiant Ones” and felt a sense of confirmation when I heard #jimmyiovine say “That’s why those horses have blinders on. And that’s what people should have when you’re running after something, you should not look left or right, what does this person think, what does that person think, NO, GO!”

How about you, do you think life is time-sensitive?

Conversations With Kai Mann- Prophet Cedric Wright II

20160525_201754Wednesday, May 25th running behind about fifteen minutes I jump out of my SUV reach into the driver’s backseat, and grab the white dress shirt off the hanger. Quickly I put it on, buttoning it down and slipping the hem of both sides in my jeans. Before shutting both the driver’s front and rear doors I pulled my backpack and a small soft-sided cooler out and began walking toward my camera man Lenderrick.  He, usually awaiting my presence has now began pulling out his camera equipment. Greeting him first with a hug as I always do, I take the softbox lighting fixture in my free hand, he closes the door and we begin walking toward the front entrance of the Roberts RiverWalk Hotel.

Allowing the guests of the Conversations With Kai Mann show to choose the location of where they want their conversations, I was excited about the look and feel and thought “What a great choice.” Initially not seeing Cedric Wright, II, Lenderrick and I through the hotel’s front entrance walk outside because the initial conversation was scheduled near the Riverwalk. It was windy that day and not having seen Cedric as of yet Lenderrick and I decide it would be best to move the conversation inside: little did we know Cedric had already spoken with the Hotel’s Desk Manager and secured a beautiful spot, a landing between the third and fourth floor. We greeted Cedric when we met him. He admitted to me that he was a little nervous. I assured him that this was just a conversation between he and I, there just happens to be a couple of cameras here I said and smiled.

I had never met Cedric before. I am a watcher. Some would call it lurking. I watch people sometimes for years if I find them fascinating. I try to figure out who they are, how they’ve transformed, how I might be able to serve them, and ways to introduce them to the world. You say lurking, I say research.

Cedric and I find ease in our conversation as if we had known each other before. I begin to tell him about the show, what my vision is and why I chose him to have a conversation with. He’s intrigued. I have white wash clothes for drying off and bottled water in the cooler and offer Cedric one. He takes a bottled water and I hand one to my camera man as well. While Lenderrick is setting up we continue talking and I ask if there is anything off limits. Cedric assures me he is an open book. We get to talking and laughing and I’m wishing this part was captured on film; however, it is not.

Camera and lighting now set up, we begin our conversation. It is amazing. Two souls weaving in and out of conversation as if they had been planned. They were not. Questions and responses leading to more inquiry as to who he is, why he’s here, and how his life has unfolded. It seems to be getting more in depth just as my camera man would direct us to a break. The breaks were even better than what was filmed. The conversations in between would lead us hurriedly back into filming as I was reminded that we were not on camera. The next five breaks would either be rushed or I’d beg us both not to talk so that we were steadfast in getting everything filmed.

When the conversation was over I felt full in a spiritual kind of way but that didn’t stop there. As Lenderrick, my camera man put his equipment away we were all talking and Cedric gave each of us a prophesy. We sat quiet for a moment and then went back to talking. We all walked outside of the Hotel so that we could film Cedric and I walking and talking near the Riverwalk, the conversation there too was amazing.

When I decided to do Conversations With Kai Mann my goal was to help heal myself and others. Partly selfish, and partly self-less. I wanted to show life from a transformational perspective bridging the gaps in society. Showing how we are all interconnected and how to transform our lives just as others did.  A real life visual tutorial so to speak. This contextual perspective would allow others entry to the souls who’ve done so before. I have to admit that I am proud of what the show promises and this conversation was destined confirmation.

InkMann Press Series- Where the rubber and the road meet

There is a place where the rubber and the road meet.

I’m thankful to be able to have a moment to think and slow down the pace for awhile. It’s time to go deeper. Have you ever gone to that place just below the surface only because something more takes greater commitment? The place where you’re close enough that you could let go without attachment. However, if you chose to move forward you still had a ways to go. I decided to go further.

When I began to ponder what’s next, three different experiences came to mind; the work, the effort, and the process.  Effort isn’t ‘all’ physical. If you can do it in your mind you’ll do it physically. When we begin to envision ourselves in better experiences we release ourselves to the energy of it and we draw those experiences to us. If there was something that you just had to do you’d tell yourself you’re going to do it and you’d actually do it.

I’m finding that it’s not always so easy. I keep hearing “if it was easy everyone would be doing it.” I laugh at myself because I must’ve thought I was extra special and I wouldn’t have to really do it all as if it was going to be easy and it’s not. Not that kind of easy to mock the process but almost how a lot of other things in life have been easy to you before. You have to think differently, do things differently, and be intentional about it all, everything. You can’t just do a couple of hours here and there or do better today but maybe not again for another couple of days. You have to wake up with a new mindset everyday and it doesn’t REnew until it has caught up to the process. It’s not until your mind understands it, looks for it, and knows that it is necessary.

You have to be mindful that everything is working to teach you more every moment. In our day we’re usually too busy to slow down and to catch it. Catch up to the process, so that we can make the effort, thus do the work.

Catch the moment, learn those lessons that school you for the next moment and adds a piece of transformation to your universal arsenal. The one you need to go out and master yourself with.

IMG_0010 copyThe last time you looked into the mirror, what did you see?

When I look in the mirror I feel as though I am looking into my soul and I see myself on a continuum a reflection of someone that I have known for a long time. I look back over the years and the diverse experiences that I have had and yet I am still here. The entire lifespan and all that it entailed the people that were a part of those experiences the things that I have done saw and the diverse feelings and emotions these are the things that allowed me to be the man that I am.

The rich history the thrill of victory the agony of defeat. The laughter the tears the elation the grief. The times when I didn’t know what was going to become of me but yet I sang within myself the hymn how I got over. The eyes truly are the mirror to the soul. How I would look into my eyes and talk to the Lord asking for guidance and deliverance from myself and you know what that is something I still do today.

As it is written when I reflect I am always going inward as it is often stated depression is going inward and getting stuck. In contrast in the form of meditation reflection is going inward and getting a resolution. There is a part of us that has to become whole or complete there is a void that we have to resolve or reconcile with that is why reflection or introspection is so important. We must go inward to the depths of our soul to the bottom of our heart to come to a better understanding of our self.

The best agent we have for us is ourselves and the most adversity is faced when we go against ourselves. So when I look in the mirror I have to learn to love myself in spite of myself. To encourage myself whether I receive it from others or not. Also to believe in myself whether others believe in me or not. To trust myself and to be true to myself. As it is stated this is not as good as it get know the best is yet to come if I only believe. I know for a fact that God did not bring me this far to leave me alone.

Bio

Calvin Thompson is a native Detroiter who was influenced by the soulful liberating consciousness of the turbulent yet trans-formative consciousness of the 60’s.  In his writings and his speeches you see and feel the passion of the need for liberation but not of a political genre but the quest for something greater as an awareness of who you really are. That not only do you need economic and political liberation but to truly be free one must go to the next level in your thinking. There is a new day and a new consciousness becoming more apparent today. So in his breakthrough book you can see and feel his passion to take the struggle to new frontiers and beyond the limitations that we impose upon ourselves.

As evident in his writings is a recurring theme that it is our time. We can and will be transformed by the renewal of our mind. If there is any one that knows the value of experiencing an transformation it is the writer himself. Having experienced tragedy and triumph toils and snares having gone through the mental health care system during early adulthood and to return to that system as a health care provider. To have achieved a degree in Psychology as well as doing extensive independent research in the area of motivation and personal development. Additionally to be appointed to the title of Minister so not only he does bring years of experience to his writings in the area of Psychology but he fuses or infuse his writing with a wealth of spiritual insight as well.
