Some people will just get it, while others just won’t
It’s not because they lack the mental capacity, its because they just don’t
Some are just not ready to peel back the years of layers
Most just aren’t ready to take on the task of being “Self Surveyors”
Maybe they lack the courage to take one hard look
Maybe they believe that their foundation just might be shook
Those that stretch their eyes are open and ready to see
They are looking for something else, maybe a new person to be
But until you are ready to face who you are
Your steps will be limited and you won’t go far
You can’t make excuses and place false blame
If you don’t get to know you, it will be such a shame
