>We condemn others to a life of ritualistic remorse
With no forgiveness in sight we punish them by force
We hold them accountable for things that we ought not
Most things others have moved on from or forgot
Tightly we hold on to the pain as if vengeance pays restitution
We can’t explain why Mountains can’t be used as a trivial substitution
We cultivate molehills that carry intense velocity
We never realize that the flame kindled brings such atrocity
We carry the yoke of unforgiveness on our brains
Not withstanding that we keep ourselves in chains
We socially wear the garments of unrest
Upholding karmic law is what we do best
We accept the position of the Punishment Giver
Not acknowledging that we enjoy the retribution that pain delivers
We find others in contempt of our unyielding authority
We don’t need to be Right because we are the majority
We officiate in our own game of charade
We’ll call time out if you don’t know how to behave
We’ll hold out until we cause a mutiny
And everything you do we’ll put under scrutiny
We are the ones who dare to be the Punishment Givers
Vengeance used to be the Lords but now we deliver
