>Lately they’ve been saying “I used to know him or her when”
It makes you wonder if those doing the saying are the same as back then
I wonder why they aren’t encouraging another person’s change
As if that person’s growth is the thing  that’s strange
It makes you wonder if they are trying to hold them down
As if they are supposed to remain in yesterday; How does that sound?
I wonder why they don’t really want them to turn the page
Do you think it’s because through those people’s lives, their life will be gauged
Maybe they think that if others doing badly makes them look better
Why not be happy for them instead of binding them with fetters
It’s a shame when we don’t support those who do good
Even so, we condemn them even if they’re hood
It really doesn’t matter what you do in other people’s sight
They’ll still tell you what you do for one reason or another isn’t right
You could be loved by many and yet still hated by few
You just have to remember what it is that you’re trying to do
You can’t lose sight of the dream to make it your reality
And you can’t succumb to other people’s mentality
You must not seek to gain everyone’s “Yea”
Because if you wait for them it’ll always be “Nay”
Do what it is that the Creator has called you to do
And don’t let anyone’s disapproval become your issue
Keep your head up and don’t be afraid to “Walk it out”
Remember this is your dream and you know what it’s all about
