>To A Young Mother Raising A Son

>From birth teach him that he is a King
Teach him confidence and how to handle what life brings
Train him on the benefits of having respect
And his elders he must never neglect
Teach him how to be a gentleman at all times
And that taking something that’s not yours is a crime
Instill in him the importance of education
And not give in to people’s accusations
And that life is not always a physical fight
But attain knowledge and wisdom to give him insight
Teach him to love all people and to have an open mind
That it’s okay to disagree, that’s quite naturally fine
Teach him that a woman is not a bitch or a hoe
And definitely not his competition nor his foe
Young women are Queens who should be respected
As they are seeds turned into Beautiful Flowers and should be protected
Teach him to be the kind of man you would want or need
As you are grooming him to be a man indeed
Young sister don’t just let your Son do what he wants to
Teach him that love and respect is a virtue
Teach him to treat you like a Queen
Because you are the first woman on the scene
If you bring him up the way a King should be
He’ll be something you can be proud of, wait and see
