>Sometimes it seems with family and friends that we have grown apart
But that does not mean that the love we have for them has left our heart
In most cases we have decided to make some sort of change
And to others at times it feels desperately strange
But in order to grow sometimes we must move in a new direction
We must remove ourselves from the others to ensure growth protection
Have you ever tried to change but continued to be around the same people
Putting your growth at risk because the others were still on the old channel watching the old sequel
And when you spoke actions moving towards growth and change
The others looked at you and collectively thought that you were insane
Or gave comments that you think that you are somehow better than they
But then you realize that it is best for you that you go and not stay
Never deny yourself the opportunity of challenging yourself to grow and to rise
And don’t stunt your own growth allow yourself to stand strong without compromise
There will be some who will challenge everything that you are doing
But then there will be some who’ll understand exactly what you are pursuing
Those that truly know and love you know that they will always be in your heart
And those are the ones who’ll understand your need to grow and why you had to part
