>A Queen Has Left The Building

>

On the 7th of January the Lord called the Original Queen to come on home
He whispered in her ear that her trial was over as endurance had been shown
Twenty one years of being afllicted with a debilitating disease
And now being able to walk around Heaven spiritually doing as she please
I remember being five years old and every single night
She’d make me kneel beside her bed and the Lord’s prayer I’d recite
She was the one constant person in my world of existence
And she was the one who taught me to never make people any difference
I remember how we’d be in the living room as I showed her the latest dance
And as I think about it now, it was she who taught me all about romance
She was the first to teach me many valuable and heartfelt lessons
Now I know that those Southern Quotes have been my worldly blessings
My mind rolls back to her always laminating my Prince & MJ posters
Even so, she’d been the type of Mom you thought had a gun around somewhere in a holster
That infectious laughter still rings through to my ears
And I still laugh about the pot of beans on the ceiling for many years
The Original Queen no doubt is my very own Mother
And all I can think about now is how not only me but everyone loved her

This place is more like a vacation. a place to visit and rest before we finish our journey back home. . . . . . January 7th Paulette finished her journey and has arrived back home! C.C.M
