>Has anyone ever held you hostage by something in your past
Have you done things to overstate the negative but your good never lasts
Have you tried to move beyond the old person that you were
But someone somewhere tried to deflect and deter
One thing that we should understand is forgiveness of our Brother
None of us are above anything that we do more than any other
We must remember with the same judgements that we tend to speak
Will be the same judgement that we will eventually one day meet
It has been said that the things that we despise in someone else we will announce
But we never realize the same depiction in us is usually just as pronounced
We should be mindful to not hold someone hostage of their past
If not for them but for ourselves so that our Karmic retribution won’t outlast
