>Who You Are

>Remember who you are and not the circumstances of where you are
Don’t measure your life to another it’s not the same by far
At times life seems to portray that of a competition
But don’t conform to those ideals hold your position
You’re not your sister, your brother, your cousin, or even your friend
Your situations are not the same so why follow the same trend
Who can be extraordinary at being you
Who can walk your path and still remain true
Only you know who you are and where you have been
And there’s some things that you don’t share even with your closest friend
At times you have had to be the one cheering in your own corner
And sometimes you’ve been around those you know but still feel like a foreigner
Even through everything you’ve managed to work it all out
You being you, you’re learning what life’s all about
