Thoughts so heavy that I need a place to release
A concession to thoughts taking over my brain
If you don’t pick up what I put down I’ll go insane
Disposing of material that seems to carry no weight
Flimsy but yet so strong, I give and it takes
With all that I give I’m surprised you don’t weigh more
Forty-three years of holding everything that I store
My thoughts have been difficult to carry
Time, places, and people they all seem to vary
Afraid there’s not enough space to place another word
Trying to write these expressions that I’ve heard
Compiling a canvas of mental vapor
There’s nothing stronger than the weight of paper
